The Battle Continues...

Here I am, sitting in my recliner on a Monday night thinking about the huge spiritual battle that the enemy wages against God's children. Sometimes, it's all just a little overwhelming.

Today began like most days, time with God, getting ready and heading off the church to begin my regular ministry duties and responsibilities that come along with pastoring a church. Things were moving at a very fast pace. There were phone calls, emails, visitors, checks to be signed, errands to be ran, etc. My day is always full, no matter how you look at it.

Then, my mentor, Fred Davis, and his wife, Ann, arrived to meet with Natalie and I. We were talking all things 'Church Planting.' We even talked about a special new opportunity that God has brought our way, healthy chocolate. I'll tell you more about that later. By the way, I began eating it today. We went to lunch together and then drove out to the building site. WOW! It's so exciting to see the dream unfolding before your eyes. (By the way, Fred will be preaching at BOHF on Sunday, June 6th for me.) Don't miss this special time with him.

After we returned to the church, Natalie and I had lots to finish up on for the day. But, around 5 p.m., Natalie was sitting at the desk when it seemed as if somone or something came up behind her and started beating her with a baseball bat. She has been in great pain every since. She says it hurts to breath and the pain cuts like a knife. She's experienced nausea and a headache with it.

After I left the office, I went to the land to walk and pray. Me and God had ourselves a time. There's nothing like praying and walking. Several people stopped by, Diane Dishmon and Ken Stewart, at two seperate times. It was about that time that I received the phone call from Natalie saying that she needed to goto the ER. She was in great pain.

When I arrived at home, she decided not to go. However, I knew what the real answer was. The truth is, we are in very deep spiritual warfare and the enemy is mad that Bridges of Hope Fellowship is on the move and serious about reaching people for Jesus and seeing lives transformed the power of God. So, we recognized this as an attack from the enemy. We (Dwight and I) immediately began to anoint Natalie's head with oil and pray for her healing. The battle of the forces had already begun. Dwight started and I closed us out. Together, we prayed and read lots of Scripture. We put her to bed and hopefully, she will feel like a new lady in the morning. Please keep her in your prayers for health and healing. "By His stripes, we ARE healed."

I told you all of that to say this, you and I have a very real enemy called, Satan. He is out seeking to destroy you, your family, your church, and your testimony. But, we know what the Word says, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." I claim it in Jesus' name.

Now, with the building project just beginning, the battle continues...

Bridges of Hope had 335 in Attendance Last Sunday!

That could be the headline next Sunday if we all invited 10 people to join us for worship...

According to statistics, 83% of everyone we invite to church WILL attend!

With that, I want to help equip you better to invite your friends, co-workers, family and new acquaintances to attend Bridges of Hope Fellowship this week (via Shawn Lovejoy)!

THE TOP 10 WAYS TO INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH WITHOUT GETTING PUMMELED:
(Note: each invitation should be covered in prayer for the individual/family)

1. Send a co-worker or friend a link to our church website, with a note that says: “Just thought you might connect with what our church is going to be talking about this weekend.”

2. Send a link to one of our church’s online sermons with a note that says: “When I heard this message, I thought about what you’ve been going through…” Go to www.GetHope.info and click on “Listen to Sermons”.

3. Take the message notes guide in to work with the message title on it and say: “When I heard this message title, I thought of you.”

4. Have a BBQ and invite some co-workers or friends over to eat. Here’s the only criteria for the INVITATION list: They can’t go to church anywhere.

5. Invite someone to lunch on Sunday and then say: “Hey, would you guys be interested at all in meeting us at our church beforehand, and THEN going to eat?

6. Think of someone who’s had a tough year, drop them an email or a phone call and simply say: “when I was listening to my pastor’s message this past week, I thought about you and prayed for you” (IF you actually prayed for them).”

7. Invite a family friend’s child over to spend the night with your children on Saturday Night and then ask the family’s permission to take their child on to church with you and drop them off afterward. If our Children’s Ministry rocks, this child will be one of Jesus’ biggest advertisers afterward!

8. Just say: “Hey, man, what would I have to do to talk you into giving God and the church one more shot this week?”

9. Just say: “Hey, are you going to church anywhere right now? Why don’t you come hang out with me this weekend at our church? It’s SO AWESOME!”

10. Say: “You would not believe what my church is going to be doing this next weekend…”

Ten ways to invite Ten people! If each one of us who were at church this past week invited 10 people to come this week (that weren’t there), and 83% responded yes, we would have 335 people at church this Sunday! Now that is a God sized vision that statistics tell us already work. Be a part of the vision and invite your 10 this week!

Internet Evangelism Day news items for Facebook, Twitter, blogs and newsletters

Internet Evangelism Day news items for Facebook, Twitter, blogs and newsletters:
"Churches Will Explore Internet Opportunities on Sunday April 25

Internet Evangelism Day is an annual digital outreach focus day for churches. This year, it is scheduled for Sunday April 25. It's an opportunity for any church to explore with its members the exciting opportunities for sharing the good news online. Ready-made free downloads – PowerPoint, video clips, handouts, drama scripts and music can be easily built into a presentation of five minutes or 50.

2010's focus day will be the sixth to be used by churches around the world since the initiative's launch in 2005. Over this period, digital media have developed dramatically, with the advent of YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, and the growing use of mobile phones to access online services.

IE Day's website is also a one-stop resource covering many subjects including: how to build a church website that is 'outsider friendly', using Twitter in evangelism, and ideas for effective blogging.
Perhaps surprisingly, you do not need to be technical to share your faith online. And you can volunteer to be an email mentor to inquirers with several large online outreach ministries.
Internet Evangelism Day is an initiative of the Internet Evangelism Coalition, based at the Billy Graham Center, Wheaton. It is supported by a wide range of Christian leaders and groups. 'I am glad to commend Internet Evangelism Day,' says John Stott.

Does God really care?

Do you ever just feel like maybe God doesn't really care or that you are so insignificant that He really doesn't want to be bothered by you? Sometimes, the enemy will cause us to feel this way. The key word there is "feel." Our feelings are tossed about the wind and often it's like we're on a really fast roller coaster. However, we must go on the truth of what God says to us and about us.

This morning, I was reading in Romans and found great comfort and joy when I came across Romans 8:32, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" I wanted to shout. When I think of how much God loves us and that He was willing to withhold anything for us to come into a love relationship with Him through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ; that's awesome!

Furthermore, if God loves us so much to go to such great lengths to bring us to Himself, would He not do the same thing to take care of us too? After all, we are now His children and He desires to pour out His best blessings on His family.

So, when you approach the throne of grace today, go boldy before the Lord and make your requests and petitions know to Him and watch the Father and Creator begin to pour into your life like you've never experienced before. He loves you and cares for you. Nothing you have to share with Him is a waste of His time. He longs to hear from you on a moment by moment and day by day basis.

Remember today that you are important to God and He loves you so much! So, go ahead and throw your arms around Him and give Him a great big bear hug. He's waiting!

Day 21 - Fasting Focus

Well, we have finally made it to the end. Today is day 21 of our 21 day corporate fast as a church. We have already seen God do wonderful things in the lives of our people, but the best is yet to come. We know that the rewards and blessings really come after the fast. I am so ready to see what God has done, is doing, and is going to do in the lives of His people and Bridges of Hope Fellowship!

Over the last 21 days, we've been praying for the lost (hit list). We know that God loves all people and wants to have an intimate and personal relationship with them. That relationship is only possibly through the shed blood of Christ on the cross of calvary. So, how will they know if they don't have a preacher or someone to tell them the good news of Christ?

Day 21 - THE LOST

"And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature'"
Mark 16:15

Prayer for the Day: Lord, here I am, send me. Use me. Witness through me. There's a "field" in my home. There's a "field" in my neighborhood. There's a "field" on my job. There's a "field" in this city. There's a "field" in my family. Oh God, forgive me for not praying; forgive me for not witnessing. Forgive me for not really believing that I can "reap a harvest" for You. Forgive me for not believing that You can use my influence, my affluence, everything that I have to reach the lost for Your glory right where I am! Father, I ask Yoiu to use me as a light to a dark dying world. I give You glory and I give You praise for all that You will do through me!

____________________________________________________

As you pray for the lost today, would you ask God to use you to reach those around them with the gospel of Jesus Christ? Make a decision today to be a harvester for the Lord.

Day 20 - Fasting Focus

Have you ever had to wait for something? If so, you know it's not easy. What's really hard is when you and I are waiting on the Lord to bring about His will in our lives. However, there is nothing better and more rewarding than to wait on and before the Lord.

When we wait on the Lord and before the Lord, we get the very best for us and the things that will bring God the greatest amount of glory.

What are you waiting for today?

Day 20 - WAITING ON GOD

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? the everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
Isaiah 40:28

Prayer for the Day: Lord, my flesh is weak, but Your Promise is, "They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). I am waiting on You today and asking You to fill me with new strength. Fill me with Your life force. As I seek Your face, I praise You that I will not get weary! I receive Your strength in the my body and in spirit, in Jesus' Name. Thank You, Lord. Holy Spirit, Comforter, Counselor, I need You to take control of this situation. Fill me with Your power; I worship You. Hallelujah!

Regardless of what you are going through, just sit still and wait before the Lord and you will be renewed in your strength.

Day 19 - Fasting Focus

When you see others in need, do you find it easy to have compassion on them and help meet their needs? Or do you wish they'd just go away and bother someone else?

Compassion is one thing that God asks us to have toward others. When we see others who are less fortunate than us, we should reach out to them with the love of God and have compassion upon them. It is through compassion demonstrated to others that the world we see and know that the love of God is in us.

Day 19 - COMPASSION

"But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18

Prayer for the Day: Touch my heart, oh God. Touch my heart. Touch me. I don't want to be cold. I don't want to be hard shelled. I want to be tender. I want to be sensitive. I want to show the world your compassion and grace. I want Your anointing on me. Touch my heart. I feel the incrustation of worldliness and materialism and the cares of this life. Melt it! Melt it!

________________________________________________________

It is easy for us to talk about love and compassion, but quite a difference to practice it. Let us not be people of many words and little actions. For the world will know that we belong to God by the way we treat one another. If we truly do love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul; then we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Who is our neighbor? Everyone.

Make this the day that you allow God to soften your heart and show compassion to those around you.

Day 18 - Fasting Focus

Do you find it difficult to make time to spend with the Father in prayer? I believe this is one area that the enemy is greatly effective in his strategy to keep us from the will of God in our lives. It's funny how we make time for everything else and then wonder why everything goes wrong. It's because we have failed to make time for the most important task or function that there is: PRAYER.

Prayer is simply abiding in Christ. It is our lifeline and connection to the Father. We can accomplish more by simply spending time with God than we could at working hard for an entire week. So, wouldn't it be easier to pray and let God accomplish the things that we need done? Prayer: make it a priority in your life today!

Day 18 - PRAYER

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:4-5

Prayer for the Day: Father, if Your Word abides in me, I can ask what I will and it shall be done. I don't want anything in my will that You don't have in Your will for my life. Father, in the Name of Jesus, I just lay everything on the altar today. Everything I know I just lay it all on the altar and say "if it is Your will Lord." I say again, "Not my will, but Your will be done in my life." I'm asking You, Father, to put on me a new mantle for prayer. Teach me how to abide in Your presence every day. And Father, in the Name of Jesus I just thank You for authority to decree a thing and it shall come to pass.

_________________________________________________________

Take the time today to abide in Christ and to experience His best for your life. Prayer will change us in every area of our lives. Choose prayer!

Day 17 - Fasting Focus

I want to first apologize for the lateness of posting this blog. When I tried to login this morning to write my blog for today, it didn't even give me a place to do so. Each time I tried, I was prevented. But, I have the VICTORY!!! Here it is.

Speaking of victory, God wants all of us to overcome temptation and the things of the world. God has provided so that we can have the victory and overcome the world. In many cases, it seems that we are more or less overcome by the world rather than overcoming the world. I hope you will pause this day to decide now that you are going to be more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Day 17 - VICTORY

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4

Prayer for the Day: Father, I am making a choice. I'm going to "put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Lord, You said, "Sing, Oh barren one." So, I will sing to You, God, even when it looks like I don't have anything to sing about. I will give You songs of deliverance and praise, O God. Glory to Your Name, Jesus! I will keep on praying. I will keep on praising. I will keep on living for You, God. My faith is overcoming. I'm never going to get tired of fighting the flesh and the devil until I make it through the pearly gates of Heaven. I am an overcomer. My faith makes me an overcomer, not my feelings. You are with me now as You have been and forever shall be. I praise You for total victory. I'm driving the devil out. Praise God. I'm tired of mixing the Word with everything else and not having the strength in me to overcome anything. I am making a choice to praise You in all things.

________________________________________________________

Why not make a choice today to praise God and give Him your all? He deserves it you know.

Live your life today victoriously for Jesus!

Day 16 - Fasting Focus

As I woke up today, my heart is yearning to see revival in the midst of God's people. Over the years, we have grown cold, hard, and complacent. We rarely share the good news with others and I'm afraid that we have left our first love. We certainly aren't in unity with one another, even though Jesus Himself prayed for that one thing in John 17. So, what's it going to take? REVIVAL

It's time that the Church come together as ONE and start laying aside our differences with our family and start holding hands to lift up the name of Jesus Christ. The lost world really needs to see us as ONE and not the fighting, arguing, and splitting hairs that they have grown accustomed to seeing from us. I believe that God was serious about that "love one another" thing. So why don't we? Because we need REVIVAL!

Day 16 - REVIVAL

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Prayer for the Day: Father, I come to You today once again to lift up this nation, offering prayer and supplication. Once again, I ask You, Lord for Your will to be done in this nation and around the world. I plead the Blood of Jesus over all nations! In Jesus' Mighty Name, I stand against all the weapons of the enemy, the plans and strategies of terrorism against our nations. I ask for a covering over our military and our representatives. I plead the Blood of Jesus and release the angels of the Lord around their paths. Guard our borders, Lord. Touch our leaders. I ask you, O God, to visit them and give them dreams and visions that stir their hearts toward You as never before. I pray for those in the inner circle of power that You would turn their hearts to walk in Your wisdom. I ask for Your mercy on us! Forgive us for we have sinned against You as a nation. We need a sword that will cut through the homosexual obsession. We need a sword that will cut through the lies of abortion! We need a sword! God, let the fire burn in the churches, and in our lives until we get a sword in our hands! Purge us, cleanse us; heal our lands we pray in the mighy Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the strong and mighty One! The One mighty in battle! Jesus, we worship You. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our nations, in Your mighty name. Amen.

_______________________________________________________

As we go about our day, may we be focused on our need for REAL revival in our land today and in our hearts. Lord, revive us again!

Day 15 - Fasting Focus

You know, the past can be a frightening thing for some people, either because of what they've done or what's been done to them. Sometimes, we are held in bondage to sins of the past and can't seem to break free, things like alcohol, drugs, sexual immorality, pornography, lust, lying, conspiring, etc. If the truth were to be told, we are really tired of being held prisoner to these things.

I am believing that today is the day of release, restoration, and reward in your life. But, first, we must give in to the Lord.

Day 15 -RELEASE, RESTORATION, AND REWARD

"Turn ye even to me with all your heart...with fasting and with weeping...I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm...ye shall praise the name of the LORD your God...and my people shall never be ashamed." Joel 2:12, 25-26

Prayer for the Day: Father, in Jesus' Name I humble myself before You in fasting. Thank You for releasing me from my past and forgiving all my sins. Thank You for restoring my life and giving me the reward of eternal life. I give You praise and glory and honor. Bless Your people as we continue to fast and pray. Bring the "spirit of release" causing Your people to walk in financial freedom. "Release" our loved ones. "Release" those that are bound by fear, depression and abuse. Release those bound by nicotine, gluttony and other addictions. Release them from all bondage. Loose the bands of wickedness. Undo the heavy burdens. Let the oppressed go free. Release our families from every shame and guilt. Thank You that the wicked bands will be broken! Hallelujah! Lord, the palmerworm has attacked the roots of Christian heritage in our families. But You said, "I will RESTORE THE FAMILY TREE OF FAITH!" I give You praise. My family IS GOING TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT! Oh Hallelujah! Father, the greatest "reward" is You. Thanks for the stuff, but we're fasting for more of You. You are our Reward and our exceeding greatness. We praise You, Jesus. Glory to God!

Day 14 - Fasting Focus

This morning as I rolled out of bed, I could see the brightness of the sun shining through my bedroom windows. Then, I thought...how much brighter will the glory of God be than that? When I think of the awesomeness of God and glory that surrounds Him, I cannot help but worship and praise Him.

On that note, tomorrow is the day that I set aside to worship the Lord with my church family, not to take away from the fact that we should be worshipping God daily in our personal lives. Actually, worship is more of a lifestyle than anything. Our lives should be characterized by worship since that's why we were created in the first place, to worship God. How many people fail to worship God and when they do goto church, they just go through the motions or rituals. It's not really worship at all.

Day 14 - WORSHIP

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him." John 4:23

Prayer for the Day: Father, I humble myself before You today to seek Your face. I repent for complacency in my worship. I repent for being content in my worship. I repent. I'm not "face to face" with You like Moses was, but I do want to know You more intimately. Like Paul said, "I have not apprehended." I'm not satisfied. I'm hungry for You, O God. I love You and I praise You, Lord. Worthy! Worthy! Worthy are You, Lord! Blessed be the Name of the Lord! Oh, God it all flows out of You; I'm coming after You. You are my Reward, not success, not material things. You exceed all of those things! In Your presence is fullness of joy. If I am in Your presence, then I get joy. Out of that joy comes strength. Out of that strength comes spiritual warfare to resist the devil, and he flees from me. I want to be close to You more than anything. Here I am. I give You my all. I give everything to You. Thank You that in Jesus' Name, I enter into Your rest, enter into Your peace, and enter into Your grace. I worship You, Lord. I worship You. Hallelujah!!

__________________________________________________

If your worship is only in the flesh, it's not worship at all. We must worship Him with our whole beings and in spirit before our worship is pleasing to Him.

I want to encourage you to get up and join us tomorrow morning (Sunday) at 10:30 a.m. at Bridges of Hope Fellowship in McMinnville for a time of true worship to the Lord. Need directions? Visit www.gethope.info See you there!

Day 13 - Fasting Focus

Here we are at day 13 in the fast. What kind of things is God showing you or doing in your life? I'd love to hear! We have just a little over a week left in this fast and I can't wait to see what God is going to do on Easter Sunday!!!

Back in October, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. It has brought about HUGE change in my life, diet, and about anything I go to do that deals with gluten. I am still very tired and fatigued. I have no energy to speak of. By the time lunch rolls around each day, I am zapped. I seem to stay in the bathroom constantly and I hate it. However, my prayer has been for God to receive all glory from my having this disease.

Just before we started the fast, Natalie and I were driving down the road and I just really felt impressed to ask God to heal me of this disease I have. So, I have. Not only have I asked Him to heal my body, but I've already begun to praise Him for doing so. I don't want to rob Him of any glory in my life. He has healed me 2 times before and I believe He'll do it again. I just can't wait for the healing to manifest itself in my body for others to see and know about.

Day 13 - HEALTH

"For I will restore health to you, And heal you of your wounds, 'says the LORD."
Jeremiah 30:17

Prayer for the Day: Lord, thank You that You are our Healer. You were wounded for our transgressions and You were bruised for our iniquities. Through Your stripes we are healed! And Lord, I just claim miracle healing in my life and the lives of my loved ones. I worship You, Jehovah-Rophe, the God that healeth. Your Words "are life unto those tht find them, and health to all their flesh" (Proverbs 4:22). Thank You for sending your Word to heal me. "...my Hope is in You God: for I shall yet praise You, You are HEALTH of my countenance, and my God" (Psalm 43:5). I give You praise and thank You today that my body is being healed by the life-giving power of Your Word, in Jesus' Name! Thank You, Lord.

______________________________________________________

If you are sick and in need of healing, why not claim God's healing power over your life and body today? God desires to do a great work in your health and restore all that the enemy has stolen from you and destroyed.

I am believing for God's healing power in my life and that one day soon I will be able to go back to the doctor for a clean bill of health. Praise His name!

Day 12 - Fasting Focus

Do you ever get tired of being afraid because of the fears that the enemy brings against you? Do you feel like you are being attacked from every side? Do you ever just wish you had some really good protection from all of this stuff that we have to deal with on a regular basis? Well, you do! JESUS

I'm thankful that there is a place that I can run to and find shelter and protection from the storms and troubles of life. Sometimes, life is just too much and the enemy seems so great. But, we have a refuge.

Day 12 - PROTECTION

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust." Psalm 91:1-2

Prayer for the Day: Lord, I want You close in my life; I want to be under the shadow of the Almighty. You are my refuge. You are my fortress. You are my God. I will not be afraid. I will not fear because I will call on that Name that is above every Name, JESUS. Lord, teach me to appreciate my life in this season. Help me to quit looking into the future, never living in the now. You will be with me in the day of trouble. I worship You, Jesus. Thank You for the blood path right into the secret place of the Almighty. You lift me out of depression, out of unfounded fears, out of the strike of the adder and the attack of the lion. I will praise You, Lord. I praise You. I worship You, oh God. Lord, I enter into that tent where every provision is made...even for protection from fears and protection for my family. You are worthy, Lord. I worship You, Jesus. You are my refuge, You are my fortress, You are my strong tower, Jesus. Whom shall I fear?

____________________________________________________

Why not take some time today to confess Jesus as your rock, your refuge, and your fortress. Place your trust in Him and know that through Him, your future is secure and you are protected against all that would come against you. We are told that no weapon formed against us would prosper. So, stand firm in the Lord and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. That is your rightful place.

Day 11 - Fasting Focus

Here we are in day 11 of 21 and I'm so excited about what God is doing in the lives of His people. Woohoo! We've seen people get jobs, be healed, finances turning around, specific needs being met, etc. Don't give up now! If you give up now, you'll miss all that God wants to do in your life.

All day today, I've been praying for our pastors/elders at Bridges of Hope Fellowship. With all that we are engaged in, the enemy is attacking them in even greater fashions than he might others. They (David Cook, David Clayton, and myself) are getting hit from every angle, yet, we must not give up or give in from the Lord's work.

Have you thanked the pastors/elders of our church lately for their unending service to our body? When was the last time you spend time praying over them and their families and that their work would be fruitful? Why not today?

Day 11 - PASTORS/ELDERS

"Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine." 1 Timothy 5:17

Prayer for the Day: Father, I pray for our pastors, for their wives and for their precious children. In Jesus' Name, Lord, Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done in their lives and in my church as it is in Heaven. I pray for my church. I pray for every ministry and for every pastor/elder to be led by Your Spirit and to walk in peace. Lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from evil. Anoint them with frest oil. Your anointing makes the difference. Your anointing breaks yokes. Thank You for Your precious anointing, Holy Spirit. I stand against every spirit of division, in Jesus' Name. Touch our pastors, Lord. I pray that You bring a spirit of unity to our church. Father, I ask You to release Your glory in our church, in Jesus' Name.

Let's believe together today for God to use our pastors, staff, leaders, and people for His purposes and for His glory. May we literally be the beam of HOPE in the midst of darkness in Warren County.

Day 10 - Fasting Focus

Maybe you're up and heading to work, getting ready for work, or wishing you had a job to go and work at. Either way, your job and career are very important to God. Work is an honorable thing and God blesses our work when we work for Him with all that we have. The scripture admonishes us to work hard and smart and to do all (everything we do) as we are working directly for God.

Some are probably asking, 'What if I volunteer?' Then be the best volunteer that you can be and God will promote you in His perfect timing. I've seen many people who were volunteering and ended getting a job doing the same thing they were doing for FREE. Amazing! Now they get paid to do it!

Day 10 - CAREER

"And when He had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
Mark 8:34

Prayer for the Day: Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come to You today, and I want to be a cross bearer in the marketplace. I want people to see You through me. I want You to anoint me with a kingly anointing. I receive this high call that is just as sacred as the call to preach. I understand my purpose and I WILL go into the marketplace with a fresh anointing. In my job I will carry Your cross. In unseen and unspoken ways, people will know there's a difference on my life. I receive that anointing right now as I dedicate myself to You. Use my life for Kingdom authority. Help me to be a culture changer where I work. Help me to change the culture in my workplace until it's actually abnormal for somebody to take Your Holy Name in vain...not because I preached a sermon to them, but because Jesus has shined through me into that darkness. I give You the praise for the Lord. In Jesus' Name I will not fail You in my calling.

_______________________________________________________

As you take up your cross and live your life pleasing unto the Lord, others around you are watching. It might be your family, friends, co-workers, Facebook and Twitter friends, etc. Regardless, you have an awesome opportunity to allow Christ to shine through you as you work and/or volunteer for His glory today.

"Do all to the glory of God the Father!"

Day 9 - Fasting Focus

I am extremely exhausted after a great day at Bridges of Hope Fellowship yesterday. We had lots of people out sick, but the Spirit of the Lord was sweet in the house.

As I woke up this morning, my mind was on the happenings of our congress from yesterday. With the new Obamacare, how many more people will be facing the great financial woes of our day? Already, we are in a very tough financial spot in America. Already, families can't afford to pay their bills or provide the basic needs for their families.

Apart from Obamacare, people have struggled with the thoughts and realities of not having enough money to pay their house payment, car payment, buy groceries, or pay for healthcare. But, for the believer who practices the 3 disciplines set forth in Matthew 6 of giving, praying, and fasting, we are promised that God will take care of us and provide for us daily. The problem comes in when we think God should do it a different way than what He choosed to do.

Day 9 - FINANCES & PROVISION

"The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow." Deuteronomy 28:12

"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who give you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
Deuteronomy 8:18

Prayer for the Day: Father, I thank You that You are my source of supply. I thank You that You know how to break bondages off your people. Help me to attack my lack by applying the wisdom of Your Word. Oh God, You said, "I'll bless the work of your hands." I'm going to pay my debts and live on the rest. I ask You that the anointing of the Holy Spirit break every yoke of bondage, break the yoke of borrowing, break the yoke of overspending from my life. I decree that this is the year of the Lord's release. I receive it and thank You, Lord. Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You will bring the increase and cause me to profit even right in the middle of a famine.

____________________________________________________

I believe with all my heart that the Lord showed me that He was going to restore the finances of His people during this 21 Day Fast. We as a people need to be prepared to read and hear the Word and to apply it to our lives so that we will be faithful stewards and not forget where it all has come from.

Even in the middle of a recession, I will not fear. I know where my supply comes from and it isn't Obama. My trust is in the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth.

Day 8 - Fasting Focus

Here it is, the day that I look forward to each week, Sunday. It's the day when God's people make their way to the house of God and spend time worshipping Him together. It's kind of like a foretaste of the gathering of the nations, when we all get to heaven. I love being with my church family!

As I write this morning, I am thinking about marriages. Every marriage has to be founded on Christ, The Solid Rock, if it every hopes to be successful. The problem is that most marriages are built on sinking sand. They are not built to last. However, on the Solid rock, any marriage can and will stand the test of time.

Natalie and I will celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary this December 29th. That thrills my heart to know that God is using us to be a godly model to all other marriages. Yes, we have our ups and downs and disagreements like anyone else. However, we take everything to the Lord and allow Him to bring the resolution. Greater than all of that, we know WHO is our Foundation and we stand on Him.

So, let me encourage you to make Christ the center of your marriage and build upon the Solid Rock as to have a good and firm foundation.

Day 8 - MARRIAGE

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" Genesis 2:24

Prayer for the Day: Lord, we need You in our home. We need You in our marriage. We need You in our family. We need You, Father, to be the Lord of our rings. Forgive us, Lord, for angry words spoken. Forgive us, Lord, for wrong actions taken. Forgive us if we have broken the covenant. Help us today, Lord, to love You by loving our spouse and life mate. Allow our children to see parents who care, who love, who touch, who talk and communicate, because the marriage they will duplicate will the be the one they see between us. So help us, Lord. We need Your supernatural power in our marriage. Help us and strengthen us to keep You as the focus of our marriage.

________________________________________________________

Husbands and wives would be so wise to follow the biblical advise that Christ sets out in Ephesians of husbands loving their wives as Christ loves the Church. Then, wives, submit to your own husbands as unto the Lord. Men, if you are not under God's authority, then you will never be in authority over your homes and marriages. Stand up and be the priest of your household and pray over your wife and your childen and bless them before the Lord. When you do, God will begin to move mighty in favor on your behalf and bless all that this yours by blood and by adoption.

Have a great day worshipping with God's people somewhere! Bridges of Hope Fellowship starts at 10:30 a.m. this morning. Hope to see you there!

Day 7 - Fasting Focus

It's day 7 of the fast. As I sit in my recliner thinking of all the things that God wants to do in our lives, I am reminded that He really desires to save those in our house. That is, He wants and greatly desires to bring salvation to your spouses, children, mom, dad, brothers, and sisters. What an awesome thought that is! The funny thing, that's what we want to. So, when we pray for those in our household to come to know Christ, we are actually praying the heart of God. He said that whatever we ask in His name shall be done. So, let's start or continue to fervently call out to God for their salvation.

It is easy to get discouraged, especially if you are the only one in the household who is a believer/Christ follower. The persecution is sometimes really tough. But, let me encourage you to never give up on those that you love. Remember, the greater thing at stake here is God's glory! And trust me, God wants to be glorified.

Day 7 - HOUSEHOLD SALVATION

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house"
Acts 16:31

Prayer for the Day: Oh God, save my children. My cry Father, is save my children. Touch my children. Straighten their paths. I paint them as a target for Your Spirit to touch them and mark them. Anoint them this day. I thank You and praise You that salvation will come to this house because of the blood of Jesus. Even when it looks like it is not working, I thank You that the blood of Jesus covers my family. "No weapon formed against us shall prosper." Your promise is that if the enemy comes one way, he flees seven. So, I am asking You in the name of Jesus to save everyone in my household. Don't let one flee from your grace and mercy but cover them with the blood of Jesus that salvation and life transformation would come to them today.

__________________________________________________

Whatever you do, don't give up on your loved ones. Keep loving them with the love of God and praying for them. Then, allow the Holy Spirit to draw their hearts close to the Father. It is not our job to draw them, rather, it is His. We must be faithful to live our lives before them in such a way that they can see Jesus in us.

I hope you have a great day as you prepare your hearts for worship in the Lord's house tomorrow. Bridges of Hope Fellowship starts at 10:30 a.m. at 2447 Smithville Hwy in McMinnville. Don't miss it! www.gethope.info

Day 6 - Fasting Focus

Well, here we are at the end of the first week of the fast. Already some exciting things are beginning to happen in the lives of people. We just give God praise for all that He is doing and has done!

The family is a very important part of God's plan in bringing lost mankind into a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is a divine and unique order in the family/home that allows God's grace and mercy to flow to the next generations. As a parent, it is difficult to know what decisions to make and what hills to die on, so to speak, with our children. We need God's help to accomplish His purpose in their lives.

Day 6 - WISDOM IN PARENTING

"All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children."
Isaiah 54:13

Prayer for the Day: Father, I know that only homes with Christ positioned in the middle of every day living will succeed in this wicked time. I need You, Lord, in order for me to be the man/the woman that You call me to be in my home. Give me wisdeom to create a place of physical rest and of spiritual rest where my family can bring a crisis and lay it on a "bed" of faith. Help me to communicate with my spouse and my children. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my pathway. God, we really need You in our home. We need a little church in our home. God, I give You everything; take my home; take my family; take my future; in Jesus' Mighty Name.

________________________________________________________________

It is so important for parents to stand up and lead their homes in the ways of Christ and in the power of His Word. May we mediate on His Word day and night and talk about it at all times so that our children will know Christ and seek to make Him known to others.

If you are not a parent, please take a moment to pray for those who are and ask God to help them order their homes where Christ is at the center.

Day 5 - Fasting Focus

I'm still praising God after the prayer and worship service last night. God is so good! We are seeing Him move mightily in the lives of His people, His Church.

Today is day 5 of our journey. I pray that you are making time for God in each new day as you spend time in the Word and in prayer. It is key and essential to your experiencing a successful fast.

Day 5 -FREEDOM FROM CONDEMNATION

"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:17-18

Pray for the Day: Lord, I want to go beyond courtyard kingdom living, and move into that "intimate" place with You. I have carried tremendous guilt and condemnation, but your promise is, "Therefore now, there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ that walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Romans 8:1). I worship You, God. I'm entering into Your rest this day. I receive supernatural peace. I thank You, my Father. No condemnation, no guilt, no shame, Jesus, You are my righteousness. Thank You for dying for me. Thank You for the cleansing power of Your blood that gives me confidence toward God. Thank You for loving me while I was yet a sinner. Oh, I bless You Lord, I bless You Lord.

________________________________________________________

As you are in Christ Jesus, may you walk worthy of the calling of which you have been called without fear, guilt, or condemnation. May you experience the true and abundant blessings of God in your life this day as you seek to draw near to Him.

Know that I am praying for each of you who are traveling this special journey with us and asking God to reveal Himself to you in a whole new and supernatural way. Be blessed!

Day 4 - Fasting Focus

As we enter day 4 of the 21 Day Fast, most of us transitioned to a Daniel Fast for the last 18 days. This simply means that we will give up eating any sweets, breads, or meats until April 4th, Easter Sunday. For most people, the first 3 days are the most difficult. However, I have had some testimonies already from people of how the Lord has strengthened them through those days. Praise God!

Today, let us stay focused on the purpose of our fast and seeking the Lord for release, restoration, and reward in our lives as we draw closer in our relationship with Him.

Day 4 - SANCTIFY YOURSELF

"So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp, and they commanded the people, saying, 'When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.' And Joshua said to the people, 'Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you'" Joshua 3:2-5

Prayer for the Day: Thank You, Lord. God, I ask You to sanctify me as I push back my plate and as I pull away from the TV and read Your Word during this period of fasting. Cut off the works of the flesh. Cut them off so I can be used for Your glory. I seek Your face. I'm hungry for You. Lord, I want to feel conviction again. I need to raise my standard. Convict me of it. I lay down, "Every weight that does so easily beset me" (Hebrews 12:1). I need Your touch. I'm coming after You. There's a dream in me. There's a call for my life and I'm going for it.

_________________________________________________________

My prayer is that each of us will continue to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice so that Christ may be enthroned in our hearts and lives. As we do, may we seek to pursue the dreams and callings that God has placed on our lives and walk in the fullness of His Holy Spirit.

Don't forget to come together tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Bridges of Hope Fellowship as we worship the Lord, praise His name, and seek His face for the move of His power in the hearts and lives of people everywhere.

See you tonight!

Day 3 - Fasting Focus

Here we are at day three in our 21 Day Corporate Fast at Bridges of Hope Fellowship. With each new day of the fast, I am more and more amazed at the grace, love, and goodness of God towards His children. God is more than words can even begin to describe.

By the time, you are probably really starting to feel weak in body. However, this can be a really good thing. It causes us to HAVE to slow down and spend more time with the Father, our Creator, God. You are probably even beginning to question if you can make it for the remainder of this fast. You might even be thinking of jumping ship today. If so, you are not alone. Trust me on this one. LOL!

However, the key to our staying the course is to put to death the flesh man and awaken ourselves to the things of the spirit. We do this by spending lots of extra time in the Word and in prayer with God. As we do, God opens up our spiritual eyes to see things more clearly the way He intends for them to be seen.

Day 3 - STRENGTH

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:23

Prayer for the Day: Lord, I'm Yours. Oh, I need Thee every hour. I really need Thee. I offer You my weakness "for Your strength is made perfect in my weakness..." (2 Corinthians 12:9). Empower me to stay strong through the physical challenge of the fast and to grow stronger in my faith. All I need is You. You alone are my Strength, O God. Thank You, Lord Jesus that You see the struggles in my life, and You know how they have shaken me. They've not shaken You, Lord. Free me from every fear, every limitation, from drawing back, from intimidation. You are my Peace, my Strength.

___________________________________________

My pray for you is to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. May you trust in Him and lean NOT unto your own understanding. He will see you through this time as you walk with Him in total obedience and practice the spiritual disciplines of giving, praying, and fasting from Matthew 6. He will reward you openly.

For me, I have been weak physically, but my spirit has been strengthened. I see the goodness of the Lord all around me. I give Him praise for encouraging me with the truth of His Word and in His speaking during the quiet times. Praise the name of Jesus!

Remember that tomorrow, we will be transitioning to the Daniel fast for the remaining 18 days. This means that you can begin eating fruits and vegetables. However, PLEASE abstain from ALL breads, meats, and sweets of any kind. Sweets would also include any substitute sweeteners (splenda, nutri-sweet, sweet and low, etc.). I will try to post a list of foods for tomorrow that can help with your buying and choosing of foods over the next 18 days.

Don't forget to spend extra time in the Word and in prayer with God. If not, you are just going on a harsh diet.

Day 2 - Fasting Focus

We made it through day 1 and have arrived to a whole new day that is full of the glory of God. Hopefully, you did so without much trouble.

Remember that it is so important for you to take extra time with God in prayer and reading of the Word. If not, you are doing nothing but going on a really harsh diet. So, make the effort and draw close to God during this time.

Day 2 - GUIDANCE

"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left" Isaiah 30:21

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and he delights in his way" Psalm 37:23

Prayer for the Day: Father, You hava a perfect plan for my life. I ask You to give me knowledge of the path that You want me to walk that I wil not miss Your will. Thank You. God, You know where I am. You planned my life before I ever showed up; I ask for Your perfect will now. Show me Your ways and direct my life, giving me guidance beyond my mind into Your perfect will. I ask You for it, I receive it, and I believe it. I worship You, Father. I thank You that You are going to guide me, lead me, and walk beside me. I will be led by Your peace. I will delight in Your way, O God.

_________________________________________________________________

It is my prayer that you will use the above scripture and prayer each day to get you started in your personal prayer time with God. It will help you to focus your prayers in the right direction and then allow the Holy Spirit to take over from that point and lead you in your prayers to God.

May you be blessed with the protection of almighty God as you seek to follow His will and plan for your life today. The enemy will do everything in his power to try and stop you. Don't give in to the temptations of food to satisfy the flesh, but rather, walk in the things of the Spirit so that you might be strengthened in your inner man. I am praying for you today as you walk with Him on this special journey.

Day 1 - Fasting Focus

Today, the Bridges of Hope Fellowship church family began our 21 Day Corporate Fast to believe God for the following three things:
  1. Financial Breakthrough in our church and families
  2. Healing in the bodies of our members
  3. Salvation for our family, friends, and co-workers

Each day, I'll be blogging to give us a scripture and to help us focus our prayer time with God. I would encourage you to keep a journal of what all God is speaking to you through His Word during this time. It is great to be able to go back and see how God was moving and working in your life while you were on the fast. Also, it's easy to forget the things that God is doing and has done for us and it gives you a visible record of God's activity in your life.

Day 1 - CONSECRATION

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded...Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up" James 4:8, 10

Prayer for the Day: Lord, sanctify me. I need You. Nothing else will satisfy me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit today. I want to walk in the Spirit. I want to talk in the Spirit. I want to live in the Spirit. I'm tired of livingwhere everybody else is. I don't want to be like everybody else. I'm coming up higher after You. I'm going to seek You will all of my heart.

_____________________________________________________________

I want to encourage you to take this 21 Day season to diligently seek the Lord and draw near to Him. As you do, He will draw near to you. Let Him surround you with His presence and show you the glory of the Lord and reward you for your diligence in seeking Him.

Know that you are in my prayers as we take this journey together. Be sure to subscribe to my blog and check back daily to receive scripture and thoughts to help you focus your prayer time each day. Remember, God is preparing us for great things!! Let's stay faithful to the end!

BIG Sunday

I am so excited as I look back over the events of this past week and our worship celebration at Bridges of Hope Fellowship today.

All week long, we have been telling people about BIG Sunday that took place today. We encouraged people to invite their friends, family, and co-workers. Today was the day of all days. We arrived to a full house this morning for an awesome time of celebration for the goodness of the Lord. Following the opening song, the following video played that told everyone that we did get our loan approval for the next step of our new building project and that we have secured the 60 member mission team from Georgia to build our new facility in just 10 days, starting on June 11, 2010. Also, that we have an HVAC Company that wants to donate the materials and labor to install our system for the new building. Watch the video...

Afterwards, I shared that we had received confirmation that Falcon Audio/Video/Lights of Oklahoma has contacted us and wants to donate our high end speakers for our sacturary at the new building. Also, that we are going to be placing a 24 x 60 portable office unit behind the new building to accommodate the Children's Worship Center and the Youth Worship Center. We have secured a mission team from Pine Grove Baptist Church in South Carolina to come in July to do the remaining finishing touches on the building, etc. The site work will be done my April and we'll be ready to pour the concrete pad to start the building. For regular updates on the building, visit www.forwardinfaith.us

The crowd broke out in applause and shouting of praise for all that God has done for us this week. It was truly a time of great excitement!

I preached today on the "Cornerstones for Fasting" in preparation for the 21 Day Fast that our church will be going through beginning on Sunday, March 14, 2010. If you missed it, check it out online at www.sermon.net/pastord

During the invitation, we had several to recommit their lives to Christ and then Tim Owen surrendered to the call of God on his life to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Praise His name!

The Four Stages of Growing a Team

Every church or ministry leader will benefit from understanding the key stages of team development (both paid and volunteer). The four Stages of team development were originally identified by educational psychologist Bruce W. Tuckman in the mid-1960's. Still valid today, they are:

  • Forming

  • Storming

  • Norming

  • Performing

Forming is what happens at your leadership retreat or first meeting. Everyone comes with company manners and is nice to each other. You might do some bonding games or talk about all you will achieve together. Hopefully you leave pumped and feel almost like you've found a fresh love.

Back home and back in the trenches, reality hits. The turf wars begin. Team members begin to jockey for acknowledged expertise in an area. Things get tense. You may wonder what you were thinking when you agreed to be a part of the team!

The storming phase has begun. Teammates are diligently working to identify who does and knows what. Pressure increases on how the team works together and challenges how the team deals with differing opinions around the table. Successfully working through this uncomfortable season will establish group norms. Just like after any storm, calm follows, relatively speaking that is.

Norming is building on the outcomes from the storm. This leads to growing trust within the team, and real forward progress begins.

With clear norms, performing becomes doable because the team is attuned to the same wavelength. It's almost as if you can read everyone's mind. The team delivers high-performance, and life is good.

Unfortunately, the process doesn't always work quite this smoothly. Many teams never get beyond storming. Not quite understanding what is going on, leaders risk allowing things to get personal. This can become a de-motivator, and team members may start jumping ship, stalling progress. Teaching your new team the four phases can help them knowingly and successfully move through the storming phase.

Since most teams experience some turnover in their life span, it is vital to be aware that whenever a new member joins the team or someone drops from the team, the process will usually revert back to the storming phase. Be sure your team members are equipped to survive the storming process and work through to norming.

Awareness of what's going on in your team and what phase you are in can smooth the growth of your team.

Sounding the Macedonian Call - Impacting a Community for Christ!

Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement that I send this email. Would you please take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to carefully read what could be the most important email that you have received today? This is URGENT!

I have the awesome opportunity of serving as the pastor for Bridges of Hope Fellowship in McMinnville, Tennessee. We are a church plant that turned 3 years old at the beginning of October 2009. In three short years, we have witnessed God change many lives for the kingdom. We have seen marriages restored, alcoholics and drug addicts set free, homosexuals loosed from their lifestyles and gloriously born-again. Praise God!! We are being used mightily to impact the McMinnville and Warren County area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now it is time to take the next step. We have purchased 5 acres of land that sits on one of the most highly traveled highways in the county. Everyday, there are approximately 8,000 cars that pass by our land. In our rural culture, you are never considered legitimate until you have your own church building. So, we believe God has led us to build the first phase of our new facility and the time is NOW. We have moved every step in faith and realize that the mere task of getting groups to come and help us build this building is a huge step of faith, especially starting in January. However, we trust and know that God will provide the laborers to help us bring glory to God through what others would call the impossible. We’ve been told that we can’t build anything in a recession, but God told us they were wrong. We’ve been told that we are crazy, and we might be. But the one thing we do KNOW, is that God is faithful and sits on the throne. He promised us that He will provide if we ask. Work will begin as early as this week!!!!

YOUR PART…. We are simply asking for you and your church to pray about and consider bringing a team from your church or ministry to help us accomplish the task that has been laid before us. We need both skilled laborers and assistants to come and help us show the people of Warren County what the Body of Christ really looks like. Great, now that your in…
1.) Open the attachment, which is a complete time line and list of needs to be filled. All materials will be provided, but you will need to bring your tools with you. Also, attached is a photo and layout of the building.
2.) Contact Keith Carey (kcarey@trinitydesigngroup.com) who is overseeing the coordination of volunteer teams for our building project. If you do not get a response, please call 615-848-9292. He prefers to connect via email for the first contact.
3.) Gather your supplies and hit the road!

WHAT IF YOU CAN’T BRING A TEAM…. We would love for you to come help us, however, if you can’t, there are a few other ways you can help us reach this community for Christ.
1.) Pray for God to provide the teams needed to accomplish this task, the safety of every team involved, the needed finances to finish it, and for God to be lifted up and glorified in the entire world because of our faithfulness and obedience to carry out His command.
2.) Give a financial gift to help us succeed in this project. Maybe you or your church could take up a love offering or give out of your missions giving to help us.
3.) Pass along this request to other churches or individuals you know of who have teams that could help us.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this request for help in impacting a community for Christ! If you should have any questions, I am always available to answer them at 931-815-8870 or by email at pastor@gethope.info. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Fourteen Things Jesus Did NOT Say by Perry Noble

#1 – “They will know you are my disciples by your theology, and the arrogance that accompanies it.” (John 13:35)

#2 – “Dream really small dreams and make sure you never ask for anything big!”
(John 14:12-14, Psalm 2:8)

#3 – “If someone doesn’t believe just like you believe…make sure to do all you can to attack, criticize and beat them down as much as possible.” (Mark 9:38-41)

#4 – “Be tolerant of everyone…I am one of the many ways to God.” (John 14:6)

#5 – “Make sure you make the church about you…that you are served well…please, don’t do anything that might cause you any type of inconvenience. My goal is for you to be happy!” (Matthew 20:28, Luke 9:23-24)

#6 – “Please, whatever you do, DO NOT tell people the good news…keep it to yourself! #8 – “You can follow me and it will not impact your money at all!” (Matthew 6:19-24)
